One of the main aims with FishingBook was to try and disspell and crack down on the unspoken rule of fisherman not revealing their secret possies – sure, we all have our own Spot X that we like to keep hidden if need be, but there are just thousands mroe simply waiting to be fished, discovered and shared. Its this sort of commaradery that makes fishing such an awesome passtime.
So where are our spots and how can you access them? Well, one of the best ways is simply to have a browse around our categories, featuring all the major areas of New Zealand, broken down and localised by Google Maps, to give you a spatial indication and a GPS reference as to where the spot lies. Adding to this, is a great description and pictures that show the location and the spoils that can be had in the fishing spots. Want to divulge more? Throw in time and tide info, references and species, rigs and tackle to use, and then youve shared the ultimate fishing spot to be proud of!
And remeber, if you go and try one of our fishing spots on here, and have some luck or have some thing to add in, you can always add in your own version of the spot, or provide a comment/review of the fishing spot so others can use your information too.
